“I started illustration after a time in my life where I felt I’d lost a sense of myself. I began drawing plants, interiors and anything cozy that provided me with a way to reclaim that. A lot of my artwork is inspired by magical moments that I imagined during my childhood and the things that I felt had shaped me. I like to use a lot of colour and whimsy within icon portraits to express the importance of my characters’ individuality. I hope that my art provides a sense of warmth, authenticity and magic in an increasingly stressful world.”
