Simone Elliot
Simone Elliot is a traveling artist (originally from Scotland and also known as 'Feel Good Portraits'). After studying Visual Communication in Dundee she ended up finding her passion in mixing art with positive psychology. She started exploring gratitude, mental health and self love through her work. The characteristic portraits developed from a project during university where volunteers had their loved ones send in positive characteristics about them and she made personalized characteristic portraits of each volunteer using the words. She filmed their reactions to the portraits and realized that every person felt so uplifted after hearing what their loved ones thought about them. After that she became determined to make art that makes people feel good (hence the name 'Feel Good Portraits).
Painting is her passion too. Each piece explores elements in her life in a way that can relate to others and the paintings are often very expressive and emotive. Her ‘Gratitude Jar’ project won the Lothian Award for ‘Best Positive Impact’ at Abertay University.
She hopes to make a career out of art mixed with positive psychology, to help others understand the importance of mental health.

For personality portraits, send her a high-quality bust image of the person along with at least 10 positive words about the person. The digital download is $60. You can expect to wait 1 week for a personality portrait and at least 2 weeks for watercolor and acrylic portraits. and the price of the digital download is $60. These can include people and/or pets and are priced $40 to $145, depending on the number of figures. Size and materials are customizable. For conceptual portraits, wait time can be up to a couple of months.
