62 ways Denise Bidot SLAYS (Or How to Model 101)

Goddess-like in many a ways, denisebidot is here to SLAY!

So often we receive messages asking HOW CAN I BE A PLUS SIZE MODEL? I think images speak louder then words, probably the photographer in me, but in running through these images your questions may be answered in some capacity.

Yes, Denise definitely has more 'typical' model looks, so certainly the way she carries her weight in an hourglass fashion and the timeless beauty in her full lips and wide eyes make her obvious 'model-material' but what sets a model apart is having a muse-like quality. Acting is a significant part of that. What distinguishes a pretty face from a supermodel starts with attitude, someone who is pleasant to work with, easy-going and hardworking, someone who takes their job seriously, yet understands what a gift making a living as a model is, and someone who makes the image come ALIVE with emotion.

Standing facing the camera with your hand on your hip is indeed one way to strike a pose, and often works in a more catalog type shoot, but as VOLUP2 concentrates more on Editorial fashion, what we seek in a model is the capacity to emote, offer an energy that captivates the viewer and makes them wonder. Modeling is bringing a garment or accessory to life through you, it is more then being a pretty face and Denise is one model you want to study before your next shoot and take notes. How one crosses an arm over the body, or the arch in the neck, looking away, versus directly into the camera, or vice versa, these are all very subtle yet important attitudes which emanate emotion and set a direction for the image.

Have a look at how Denise gets the job done with style and grace...
